Kashi has many names—Kashi, Varanasi, Banaras. This album shot exclusively on Ilford HP5 Plus black and white film, aimed to strip away the qualifiers of high-res imagery to focus on the magic of shared space in one of the world’s most ancient cities. Since I fell in love with the art of photography in 2015, my hope was to someday shoot a B&W film album in Kashi. Well, here it is.
